Last Thursday, 24 November, the team at FCMG had the pleasure of attending the IMAGinE awards hosted by Museums & Galleries NSW (MGNSW). The IMAGinE awards celebrate excellence and innovation in the museum and gallery sector in NSW, and the people who work in them.

FCMG was nominated in three categories (Exhibitions Projects: Small Galleries, Exhibitions Projects: Medium Museums, & Engagement Programs: Medium). We were overjoyed to walk away with TWO awards: one for our gallery exhibition In the fire of her being, and one for our engagement program Spinoff: a safe place for dangerous ideas - we were also highly commended for our museum exhibition Extra/Ordinary.

We want to extend a massive thank you to our guest curator of In the fire of her being, Sarah Rose, and all FCMG staff involved with Spinoff and Extra/Ordinary!

Congratulations to all other nominees and recipients, and a big thank you to MGNSW for all you do for the sector!
